The Indic Heritage Institute, USA (formerly known as the Center for Vedantic Studies) is a 501(c)(3) [EIN:99-2140696] nonprofit research and educational organization registered in California, USA. It was officially established in March 2024.

People

Dr. Satya Pradhan

Satya Pradhan is an aerospace and computer science professional and co-founder of the Indic Heritage Institute. He earned his Master’s from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, and his doctorate from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. A veteran of prominent networking companies, such as Nortel and Cisco, he currently works at a leading cloud technology company in Silicon Valley. His work with the Institute focuses on applying Vedantic philosophy to contemporary challenges, specifically in the realms of consciousness, social justice, and social harmony.

Prof. Ramesh Rao

Ramesh Rao is a professor in the Department of Communication at Columbus State University in Columbus, GA. He has taught in the US since 1987, and is the author/co-author of several books on communication studies as well as Indian politics and society. At present, Dr. Rao is also the Chief Editor of India Facts, an online portal devoted to publishing commentaries and analyses of anti-Hindu depictions in media, academia, and society. His op-eds and commentaries have been published in newspapers, magazines, and online portals across the US, Europe, and India.

Mr. Priyabrata Gharai

Priyabrata Gharai is a technology entrepreneur and software architect. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Andolasoft, Inc., headquartered in San Jose, California. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Management from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Before establishing Andolasoft, Priyabrata held senior positions at Accenture, Hewlett-Packard, Symantec, and CafePress, gaining extensive experience in software engineering and project management. His ventures now include products like Orangescrum, CRMLeaf, and OConstruction, reflecting his passion for building scalable, user-centric technology solutions for global businesses. He has a strong interest in the Indic Knowledge System and its application to contemporary society.

Dr. Subhada Mishra

Subhada Mishra works as a solution architect in the area of semiconductor design and automation. He received a PhD in Computer Science from University of Louisiana at Lafayette and has been working at companies like Intel, Qualcomm, Sun Microsystems and Synopsys. Over these years he has worked on products that power the highest selling mobile phones and personal computers and other computing devices. Subhada loves spending time with family and hiking with friends. He is passionate about ideas and effort that drive people to be fair and balanced for a sustainable global future.

Mr. Sapan Panigrahi

Sapan Panigrahi is a software executive in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA. He has worked on large-scale systems and infrastructure at Sybase, Yahoo, SAP, and Workday and currently works at Oracle. In addition to technology, he has diverse interests in world religions, culture, music, and history. Sapan is specifically interested in understanding the relationship between quality of life and spirituality.
